1 cup Crisco shortening
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups sifted all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
3 cups quick cooking oats
1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º

Cream shortening and sugars until smooth

Beat eggs and vanilla together in separate bowl then and add to cream mixture and mix

Sift flour, salt, baking soda in a separate bowl. Slowly add to creamed sugars

Add oats and nuts and mix until well blended

Chill for 2 hours

Scoop into balls and press down with fork to make semi flat

Bake at 350º for ten minutes

Cool and serve
