1 pt white Navy Beans
1 tsp Soda
1 whole onion
1/4 cup molasses
1 tsp dry mustard
salt and pepper
salt pork (little chunks)

Directions:
Directions:
On Saturday, wash small white navy beans and cover with water to soak.
Sunday morning, put in a pot covered with cold water. Add 1 tsp soda. Bring to a boil and simmer until skins crack.. Drain; put beans in bean crock. Bury a medium onion in the center. Cover with water. Add Molasses, mustard and salt port. Salt and pepper to taste. Bake in wood stove oven until noon on Sunday. Served it every Sunday as a part of Sunday Dinner after church.
