1 c uncooked Old Fashioned Oats
1 c sugar
2 Tbsp flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 c REAL butter, melted
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp almond extract
1 c sliced almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325º F degrees.

Mix dry ingredients (except almonds) in one bowl. In separate bowl, whisk egg, add melted butter and extracts, then add dry ingredients and mix well. Stir in almonds (use spoon, not mixer).

Drop on parchment lined cookie sheet (about 6 to a sheet as they spread) and press down slightly. Bake 9 - 11 minutes. When completely cooled, remove from paper and store in airtight container.

Store these in the very back of a cabinet that requires a ladder to reach (so you really have to work to get to them!)
