4-1/2 cups sugar
1-1/2 cups light corn syrup
¾ cups water
2 egg whites
1/2 cups English walnuts
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cook sugar, syrup, and water until it reaches soft ball or thread stage.

2. Take out some into beaten egg whites; let the remaining syrup mixture continue to boil.

3. Take out the syrup mixture into the beaten egg whites in this manner 4 times. Beat until ready to pour in 8 or 9 inch pan.

4. Add nuts and vanilla before placing in buttered pan. The mixture towards the last will boil real thick.

5. The mixture will become extremely thick while mixing; the mixer will labor a great deal.

6. Use a buttered sheet of waxed paper to pat the candy in pan. Use a buttered knife to cut the candy.
