1 cup white sugar
1 cup water
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter (optional)
1 Tbsp Butter (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
In a medium heavy bottom pan, over medium heat, add the sugar and water. Stir occasionally or until the sugar is all dissolved. Bring to a rolling boil stirring often. When syrup strings from the tablespoon that you are using, then it is done. (instructions from Moma). Add peanut butter or regular butter and serve on toast or biscuits

Our mom, Barbara Wright, made this for us for breakfast. It seemed like every morning! We all loved it! Sometimes we added butter and sometimes peanut butter. If it wasn't all eaten, then we would eat it later, when it had hardened as peanut butter fudge!
