3-4 pounds beef sirloin roast (use whatever cut of beef you prefer)
2 tablespoons oil (for browning beef)
1 packet Italian seasoning
16 ounce jar pepperoncinis (mild or hot, whatever you prefer)

Directions:
Directions:
Brown beef roast in pan on stove with oil. Once sides are brown, transfer it to a crockpot. Add entire seasoning packet and dump entire jar of pepperoncinis, including juice.

Close crockpot and cook for 8-10 hours on low (or 4-5 hours in Dutch oven at 300 degrees).

Serve with buns as a sandwich or on a plate with sides.

When I moved to Chicago and started eating at my in-laws, this dish is one of my all time favorites. Everyone in Chicago makes Italian beef sandwiches and I think this one tastes amazing and it's so easy!
