10 cups of flour
½ qt lukewarm milk
1 yeast cake
1 ¼ lbs melted butter = equal 2 ½ cups butter
1 tablespoon mahlab
Dash salt
Ground walnuts (about 1 lbs)

Directions:
Rub flour and butter thoroughly; dissolve yeast cake with milk, add salt, malhub and yeast and mix. Bake at 375 degrees when brown on bottom put on a higher shelf.
Cut dough with glass and press edges thin so when you fold it the edges will be as thick as the center.
Put yeast cake in warm milk after you melted it in the little warm water mix until it is good for kneading.
Let rise and cover for 4 hours put in warm place. Punch dough.
Heat over 400 degrees lower heat 350 degrees cook 1 minutes bottom 10 minutes top.
Dip in syrub whil hot. Take out fast.
