2 egg whites
Pinch of salt
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar (opt.)
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. chocolate chips and/or M&M's
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts (opt.)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º F. Beat egg whites till foamy, then add pinch of salt and cream of tartar. Beat until stiff. Gradually add sugar and vanilla. Fold in chocolate and nuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto aluminum foil on cookie sheet.

Put in oven and turn OFF the heat. Leave in oven 8 hours. ~Aunt Linda
OR: Bake at 350º F for 12 minutes, until cookies just barely begin to brown. ~Mom
