1 lb ground beef
1 T butter
1 small onion
4 stalks celery
1 can beef broth
1 64 oz can Campbell's tomato juice
1 T vinegar or lemon juice
1 cap Tabasco sauce
vegetables- including carrots, peas, green beans, butterbeans, corn, potatoes etc.

Directions:
Directions:
Saute diced onions and celery in butter, add ground beef, brown and drain grease. Add beef broth and tomato juice. Stir in vinegar, Tabasco, and add vegetables. Simmer 15-20 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Salt and pepper to taste.

Granny used fresh or frozen vegetables from Pa's garden. I have found that adding a bag of frozen mixed vegetables and frozen butterbeans provides a good base. Then add a can of green beans, corn, and 2 diced potatoes usually fills a large pot. Granny also added a tablespoon of sugar before simmering. No wonder we were addicted to Granny's vegetable soup.
