2 cups all purpose flour (2 and 1/2 cups in high altitude)
2 and 1/2 cups blended oatmeal*
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup softened butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
12 ounces chocolate chips
4 ounces Hershey bar grated
1and 1/2 cup chopped nuts (your choice - we like pecans)


* measure oatmeal and then blend in a blender to a fine powder

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375
Cream butter and sugars; add eggs and vanilla; mix well
Mix dry ingredients - flour, blended oatmeal, salt, baking powder, and soda.
Combine wet and dry ingredients together
Mix in chips and grated Hersey bar.
Roll into balls and place two inches apart on a cookie sheet.
Bake for 10 minutes
