Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 gallon water
3 lbs. stew beef
1 onion, whole
2-3 celery stalks
3-4 bay leaves
1tbsp. salt
1 bag of noodles, 12 oz.
1 large bottle/can of tomato juice

Directions:
Directions:
Add first six ingredients to large pot
Bring to a boil then reduce to simmer and cover
Cook 5-6 hrs or longer. I like to simmer overnight.
When meat is very tender remove celery and bay leaves.
I like to leave the onion in and break it up. You can also remove it.
I also like to break the meat into smaller pieces.
You can add additional beef broth if needed
Add the noodles. I turn off heat and cover. Noodles will cook in hot broth.
Add tomato juice.
ENJOY

Personal Notes:
This is the soup we always had as children and there is always a pot on the stove when we come "home" !!
