1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. flour
1 T. ketchup
3/4 c. beef broth
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 can Cream of Mushroom soup
1 c. sour cream

Topping:
1 1/2 c. water
1/4 c. butter
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
2 c. instant mashed potato flakes
2 eggs
1 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 º.
In large skillet, brown beef with onion; drain off grease. Blend in flour and ketchup. Add broth, salt and pepper. Cook until thick, stirring constantly. Stir in soup and sour cream. Reheat and transfer to greased 2 quart casserole dish.
Then make Potato Puff Topping: Heat water, butter and salt to boiling. Remove from heat and add milk. Stir in potato flakes. When flakes are soft and moist, whip lightly with fork. Add eggs, beating well after each. Stir in flour and baking powder. Beat well. Drop topping by rounded spoonfuls to cover filling. Bake for 25 to 30 min.

I loved when Mom (Grandma Carraher) made this dish. She found the recipe in a Pillsbury Cookoff cookbook. The lady who created this recipe won first place.
