1 c. unsalted butter, very soft
8 cups confectioners' sugar
1/2 cup of milk
2 tsp. vanilla
1 can dulce de leche (Nestle La Lechera) 13 oz.

Directions:
Directions:
Place butter in mixer bowl fitted with paddle attachment
Beat for 1 minute and scrape down sides.
Add 4 cups of the sugar and then the milk and vanilla.
Beat until smooth and creamy.
Gradually add the remaining sugar, 1 cup at a time, until icing is thick enough to be of good spreading consistency.(You may very well not need all of the sugar).
Empty contents of Dulce de Leche into mixer and mix on low creating swirls of color into the frosting.
Enough to cover 2 8" or 9" layer cakes and possibly 3. Use and store at room temperature.
