"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

Ingredients:
1 cup chopped onion
2/3 cup butter or margarine
2 tsp poultry seasoning
1-1/2 to 2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup chopped celery
8 to 10 cups cubed bread
2 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Cook onion and celery in butter for 5 minutes. Mix all ingredients together. This makes enough for a 10 pound turkey. If a more moist stuffing is desired, add 2 beaten eggs and enough milk to make it moist. Can also add 1 cup oatmeal. To cook dressing in crockpot use more liquid and stir once in a while. Start on high for 1/2 hour, then turn to low for about 6 hours.
