2 1/2 c. crushed pretzels
3 Tbsp. brown sugar
3/4 c. butter, melted
(1-2 c. chopped nuts, opt.)

2nd Layer:
1-8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
1 c. sugar (or powdered sugar)
1-8 oz. carton (2 c.) Cool Whip

3rd Layer:
1-6 oz. pkg. raspberry Jell-O
2 c. boiling water
1-1 lb. pkg. tri-berries, frozen

Topping, optional:
Extra Cool-Whip
Chopped nuts

Variation:
Other berries & berry-flavored Jell-O

Directions:
Crust: Mix crushed pretzels, brown sugar, and melted butter. Press crumb mixture into 9 x 13" pan. Bake at 350º F for 15 minutes. Set aside and cool.

2nd layer: Cream together cream cheese and sugar. Fold in 8 oz. Cool Whip and spread over crust.

3rd layer: In a bowl add 2 cups boiling water to the Jell-O and stir until dissolved. Add frozen berries; stir until thawed and Jell-O is cooled. Pour over cream cheese layer. Refrigerate until served.

When serving, you can put a dollop of Cool Whip and a sprinkle of nuts on top.
