3/4 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup raisins
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup sifted flower
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
3 cups oats (quick)

Directions:
Directions:
Put shortening, sugar, egg, water, and vanilla in mixing bowl. Beat thoroughly.
Sift together flour, salt, baking soda. Add to shortening mixture. Mix well.
Blend in oats and raisins.
Drop by spoon on greased cookie sheets.
Bake 12 to 15 minutes at 350°.
