Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Hot, boiled macaroni (7 or 8 ozs uncooked)
2 cups cut up sharp Cheddar cheese
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2 cups milk

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350°.
Place cooked macaroni, cheese, salt and pepper in alternate layers in buttered oblong baking dish, roughly 11 1/2 x 7 1/2 x 1 1/2, ending with a layer of cheese on top. (A round baking dish can be used.)
Pour milk over all. (Optional, sprinkle with paprika, although I don’t think she did this.)
Bake 35 to 45 minutes or until golden brown on top. Serve hot from baking dish.
Betty did not add a garnish, but one could add parsley sprigs, pimiento strips or pepper rings if desired.
Note that Grandma always served this without paprika and any garnish. We loved it!

Personal Notes:
We don't have Grandma's original recipe, but this appears to be the same. The taste test will tell the story!
