3/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup flour
1/4 tsp salt
2 cup evaporated milk
4 eggs ( separated whites from yolks)
1/2 tsp vanilla flavoring
1 box vanilla wafers
4-5 medium ripe bananas

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, salt, and sugar; add milk slowly. Stir CONSTANTLY over low heat until thickened. Stir and cook for 15 minutes. Beat egg yolks in bowl and stir into mixture slowly stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Line bottom of casserole dish with vanilla wafers, sliced bananas, and then add custard mixture on top. Beat egg whites until stiff with mixer. Add 1/4 cup sugar, whip until it peaks. Spread on top of custard. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for about 10-12 minutes or until meringue is brown.
