2-3 cups self rising corn meal

1/2 - 1 cup of buttermilk
Water if needed

Stir up above ingredients in mixing bowl. In cast iron skillet heat 2-3 Tbsp of grease. When skillet is hot pour in mixture. Should hear a crinkling noise if skillet is hot enough. Bake in oven at 425 degrees for 45 minutes.

YUMMY, especially with peas, beans or soup.
It can be made into Mexican cornbread by adding grated cheese, sour cream, cream corn and diced chili peppers (mild or hot). It goes well with chili or taco soup made this way.
