Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder
2 T. WOR sauce (Worcestershire sauce)
2 T. liquid smoke
1 lb. lean meat (boneless top sirloin my fav) ,sliced thin about 1/4 inch thick. Slightly frozen meat slices easier. Or have your butcher slice it for you. Cut across the grain for increased tenderness. I always have a hard time with this and have cut it both ways, and not noticed any difference.

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together except for meat, into a 8x8 glass pan, when mixed thoroughly, then add meat.Stir to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate 6-12 hours or over night. Stir occasionally (unless you are sleeping).....: )
Then put in dehydrator in single layer. This size recipe and 1 # meat usually takes up 2 of the racks in the dehydrator . Usually takes about 5-6 hours on the highest setting, but check to see if it is done. It too depends on how thick the meat is cut. Bend one of the pieces of meat and it should crack when bent, but not break completely. There should be no moist spots.

Personal Notes:
GRANNY SAYS......Can’t remember when or why I got my first dehydrator....maybe you kids gave it to me? Sorry poor memory sometimes...but anyway, been using it ever since, but only for jerky. I thought I would use if for other things, but my grapes just turned into raisins and so on....never cared too much for dried strawberries and apples. But everyone loves the jerky so much, so it often appears at Christmas time for gifts. Don’t think there are too many folks that don’t like jerky. And it is really expensive to buy! So I always try to watch for the meat sales, and the stores do rotate everything on sale every 6 weeks or so. So try to get the sirloin on sale, much better buy, than full price.
Very easy recipe! I usually marinade the meat before bed time, then put the meat into the dehydrator first thing when I get up.....so easy.....you just need a dehydrator, or just ask Granny to make you some.... ; ). And sometimes you also need a lot of seasonings. The following recipe is a good one too if you prefer the barbecue flavor. There are many other flavors, but these two seemed to be the favorites with all you guys.
And when I said my first dehydrator.....this is my second, because I melted all the racks of my first dehydrator in the oven.....I was quickly clearing my kitchen for company one day and the racks needed to be washed or something, and no time, so thought I would just hide them briefly in the oven.....bad idea....NEVER store anything in the oven!!! And I never do, so I was not in the habit of checking the oven first before I turned on the oven to preheat for something I was going to bake. All of a sudden, this awful burning- plastic smell started wafting in the air, and I thought OMG! think it was you, Sherry ? that pulled out all my dehydrator racks in one big plastic melted glob!!! Oh granny, granny.......Have NEVER hidden any thing in my oven since....; ) And kinda had to buy a new one.....: ( We live and learn, don’t we??!
