3 C. self-raising flour (or if you only have regular flour....FOR EACH 1 C. regular flour add 1 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. salt, and 1/4 tsp. baking soda)
3 T. sugar
1 can of beer at room temperature.

Directions:
Directions:
Stir all together and pour into 1 loaf pan or 3 small bread pans
Bake 350 about 1 hour, less for small loaf pans, till toothpick inserted comes out clean. You can also add shredded cheddar and small can chopped green chilies if you want.

GRANNY SAYS.....I think I got this recipe from Joan Kazimour many years ago. The boys were in Scouts at the time, so on one camping trip this recipe went with them. They made it over a campfire in foil? Not sure how you guys did it?? Anyway, think they all loved it especially because it had forbidden beer in it... Their beer-bread probably made them feel like they were doing something naughty in Boy Scouts.... ; ). I have taken it in to work too, and everyone loved it there too.....guess it made us feel like we were doing something naughty in the NICU.... ; )
