3 - 4 slices of bacon
1/2 med. onion, chopped
2 cloves of garlic
1 - 2 celery stalks, chopped
1 can tomato sauce
1 can tomatoes
1 - 2 cans of water
3 bay leaves
1 tsp. Gumbo File
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Fry 3 - 4 slices of bacon and crumble. In the bacon grease fry 1/2 med. onion, 2 clove garlic, and 1 - 2 celery stalks, chopped. Let brown. Then add 1 can tomato sauce, 1 can tomatoes, and 1 - 2 cans of water. Bring to a boil. Add salt, pepper, 3 bay leaves, and 1 tsp. Gumbo File. Let simmer 1 1/2 hour. Add shrimp 30 min. before serving. (If using frozen shrimp, add 5 min. before serving.
