2/3 cups rolled oats
1 cup milk
1 1/2 lbs ground beef (0.68 kg)
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1-2 slightly beaten eggs
1/4 cup grated onions (use the fine grate so the resulting mixture is mushy)
1/2 tsp sage
1/8 tsp garlic salt
1/8 tsp oregano

Soak rolled oats in mild for 5-10 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients and form into a single loaf pan. Cover with a ketsup that is thinned by adding some water to it (or tomato juice). Cook 350 degrees x 60-90 minutes.

Meatballs: form into meatballs & fry x 15 minutes, then bake in oven x 10 minutes. Use pan drippings to make gravy.
