Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Okay, this is a recipe for a six bean salad. Bean sprouts happened to be the sixth bean, but no one liked them in the salad. So, we only used five beans but the name of the recipe was "Six bean salad." So we called it a 5 bean 6 bean salad. This use to drive Helen Reddout crazy. She explained to us that because there were only five beans it was simply a five bean salad. But we continued to call it 5 bean 6 bean salad (mostly because it ticked her off!)

Personally, I triple up on the kidney beans. I also double up on the lima beans. I use regular cut green beans, but some prefer the texture of french cut beans. Sometimes I can't find yellow wax beans, but I make the salad anyway. You'll find the recipe for it listed under "4 bean 6 bean salad." (Hahahaha. No you won't. That was just a joke.)
