1 c. shortening
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. white sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. water
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
2 c. flour
2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
chopped nuts, optional

Directions:

Combine ingredients in order above. Bake cookies on ungreased cookie sheet for 8-10 minutes at 375.
