Ingredients: 1/4 C. butter 4 C. mini marshmallows 5 C. Crispy Rice cereal

Directions:Melt butter in pan over low heat, Add marshmallows, melt, stirring constantly Remove from heat and add rice cereal Press into buttered pan about 12 x9 in pan. Or whatever size pan you have, the bigger the pan, the thinner will be the bars, the smaller the pan....thicker... : ) |

Notes: GRANNY SAYS.......Well this recipe probably goes way back to when Rice Krispies and time were first invented....it was always found on the cereal box. This is the recipe I made a lot when you kids were growing up, or if I needed an easy last minute dessert, before I found the chocolate layered recipe.....NOBODY didn't like these! Always a hit and soooo easy and quick. Now we can just make it all quickly in the microwave, really just a one pan dessert. It used to call for the large marshmallows, as that was all we had, “back in the day”. And we had to cook and stir on the stove,....But somewhere along the way somebody found out that one large marshmallow = 10 mini ones, and there was no looking back. We just had to do a lot of marshmallow counting in some recipes that called for large ones and we were using the mini ones. They melted so much quicker than the big ones. Still can’t beat the big ones for roasted marshmallows! S’mores, etc....and now we can just measure the mini’s by the cup. And make it all in the microwave.
