"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Chill dough. Roll into balls the size of small walnuts. Roll in cinnamon and sugar mixture. Place about 2" apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake until lightly brown until soft.

These cookies puff up at first, then flatten out with crinkle tops.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
I know you can find a snickerdoodle recipe in most any cookbook. But it was my best friend in high school, Sylvia Folkerts, who first made them for me. This is her recipe.

I've since used Sylvia's name in many of my college writing assignments. It makes me smile every time I hear one of my students ask how to spell her last name.
