Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
I always thought that this recipe belonged to my Grandma Butts, because she was the only one willing to take the time to cut up those sticky orange slices. When my Dad died, and I inherited my Mom's old recipe box, I found the hand written card indicating this recipe actually came from my Great Aunt Violet, my Grandpa's sister! You may have trouble finding the old orange slice candies. We get ours from the "antique candy aisle" (named by the sales clerk!) at Bass Pro Shop, of all places! I cut them in chunks about the size of a whole peanut, so that they are recognizable in the cookie. A slight nuisance to make, but they will go like hotcakes.
