3 cups flour
1 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
1 cup shorting (butter)
2 eggs unbeaten
1 1/3 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla

Frosting
1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
4 Tbs melted butter
1/2 tsp almond extract
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg white

Preheat oven to 375º

Mix flour, salt, and baking powder together, then add butter, egg, sugar and vanilla and mix.
Make small round balls and press lightly
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes (about 8 minutes for soft cookies)

Frosting
Mix together powdered sugar, butter, egg white, and extracts frost while cookies are still warm
