1 can cherry pie filling
1/2 tbsp. sugar
cooking spray

Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Then add cherry pie filling and beat with electric mixer until cherries are in small pieces. Bake according to cake mix directions. Ice with chocolate or white icing.

I like to use a bunt pan for this. It looks pretty and is easy to transport for carry in, bake sale or as a gift. I ice it using canned chocolate frosting that has been warmed in microwave for a few seconds until thin enough to run down sides of cake when spooned on top of cake.
