1 stick margarine
1 stick butter
2-8oz cream cheese
1-2 teaspoons garlic powder (your preference) I use garlic oil if you can find it.
½ teaspoon black pepper (optional)
1 cup parmesan cheese (I use Kraft in the green can)
1 cup of milk

Melt margarine, butter and cream cheese in saucepan over very low heat.
Add garlic powder or oil , black pepper, Parmesan cheese, and milk.

I use a wire whisk to mix all the ingredients so they will be smooth.
Let your mixture heat slowly, be careful for it scorches very easily.
If the sauce is too thick I add more milk, if it is too thin I add more cream cheese and Parmesan. I usually pour over spaghetti noodles instead of fettuccine noodles.
