Grandma's Chicken with Garlic Recipe

40 cloves of garlic (about 3 whole heads)
(2) 3 1/2 lb chicken - cut into 8 pieces
Salt 7 pepper
1 TBS unsalted utter
2 TBS olive oil
1 1/2 C white wine
2 TBS flour
2 TBS heavy cream

Directions:
Directions:
Separate and peel garlic cloves

Salt and pepper chicken pieces

Saute chicken in olive oil and butter in a large pit over medium high heat about 3-5 minutes per side (skin side down first) until brown. Repeat until all chicken is browned

Remove chicken and set aside, lower heat and add garlic to the pot. Saute for 5-10 minutes until evenly cooked but not burnt

Add the wine and return to a boil

Return chicken to the pot, cover and simmer over low heat for 30 minutes until chicken is cooked through

Remove chicken

In a small bowl mix a half cup of the sauce from the pot with the flour and return to the pot

Raise the heat to medium, add cream, salt and pepper and boil for 3 minutes

Pour sauce over the chicken or serve on the side
