1/2 cup Crisco
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 whole egg plus 2 egg whites
1 tsp. grated orange rind
2 cups flour (cake flour works best)
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder
1/3 cup orange juice
1/2 cup cold water
1/2 cup flaked coconut
2 Tbsp. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream Crisco and sugar. Add egg and egg whites with orange rind. Beat until fluffy.

Sift together flour, salt, baking powder. Add alternately to batter with orange juice and water. Beat well. Add coconut that you've mixed with 2 Tbsp. flour. Mix well.

Pour into 2 prepared cake pans. Bake at 350 till tests done. Approx. 25 minutes.

Ice with Fluffy White Icing. (see recipe)
