2-1/2 cups boiling water
2 pkg (3-oz) raspberry gelatin
1/2 cup white or ruby port
2 small fresh pears

Sweetened whipped cream (optional)

Directions:
Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Stir to dissolve. Add ice cubes if you are in a big hurry. Add port to gelatin, mixing well. Set aside to cool while preparing fruit. Peel and core Pearson. Cut into thick slices and drop into the citrus juice to prevent darkening. Place pears in bottom of spring form pan or large glass bowl. Cover with the grape soda. Skin and seed the peaches, cut in quarters, dip in citrus juice and arrange around the edge of the bowl (or spring form pan) to form a border. Mound watermelon balls in center to hold the peaches in place. Do not pack the fruit. Pour the gelatin over the fruit and refrigerate until firm. Serve with sweetened whipped cream.
