1 cup butter softened
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 eggs
2 tablespoons milk
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 3/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 1/2 cups oatmeal uncooked
2 cups chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat butter and sugars until creamy. Add eggs, milk and vanilla, beat well. Add flour and baking soda mix well. Stir in oats chocolate chips and nuts.
2. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
3. Bake 9-10 minutes for chewy cookies or 12-13 minutes for crisp cookies. Cool one minute on cookie sheet, then cool completely on wire rack.
4. Bar cookies--press dough into ungreased 9' by 13' cake pan and bake 30-35 minutes.
