2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1/2 tsp. soda
1 stick of oleo
1 cup water
3 Tbsp. cocoa
2 eggs, well beaten
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon

ICING:
1 stick oleo
3 Tbsp cocoa
6 Tbsp. milk
1 box confectioners’ sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 cup peanuts chopped (if wanted)

Cake:
Sift flour with sugar and salt. In a saucepan put oleo, water and cocoa. Bring to a boil and pour over flour and sugar mixture. In another bowl mix eggs, 1/2 tsp. soda, buttermilk and vanilla. Add to above mixture and mix well. Bake in a greased and floured cookie sheet 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1 for 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Start the icing the last 5 minutes the cake is baking.

Icing:
Add oleo, cocoa and milk in saucepan. Heat over low heat but do not boil. Remove from heat and add confectioners’ sugar, peanuts (if wanted) and vanilla. Frost cake as soon as it comes out of the oven. As cake cools icing will become firm.
