CAKE:
3/4 c. chopped pecans
1 box yellow cake mix
1 box (3.4 oz.) instant vanilla pudding mix
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. Mountain Dew soda at room temperature
4 large eggs
GLAZE:
1 stick butter
1/4 c. Mountain Dew soda at room temperature
1 c. sugar

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. CAKE: Generously grease (or spray) and flour a Bundt pan. Sprinkle chopped pecans in bottom of pan. Combine the cake mix and pudding mix in a large mixing bowl. Use a fork to blend and break up any large clumps. Add the vegetable oil, milk, Mountain Dew, and eggs. With an electric mixer, beat on slow speed for 1 minute. Increase mixer speed to high and beat an additional 2 minutes. Pour mixture over pecans in Bundt pan. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
GLAZE: Combine the butter, Mountain Dew, and sugar in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat stirring regularly until mixture boils. Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly. Pour over hot cake while it's still in the pan. Cool completely before turning cake out onto a serving plate.
