1 Crust (graham cracker or ginger snap or vanilla wafers)
2 c. milk
1/2 c. sugar
4 egg
1.5 tbsp. cornstarch
Bakers chocolate
vanilla extract
1 plain gelatin pack
1/4 cream of tartar
2 tbsp. Sherry or other liquor

Scold milk. Make paste of beaten egg yolks, cornstarch & sugar add to hot milk in double boiler slowly stir constantly, cook until thick, remove form heat. Take 1 c. out and add 1.5 squares of Bakers chocolate, 1 tsp. vanilla stir until smooth, pour into pie shell. Cool. Put envelope of plain gelatin into 2 tbsp. of water & pour & mix into remaining custard. Let cool completely. Beat 4 egg whites with 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar & slowly add 1/2 c. sugar beat until very stiff, add 2 tbsp. sherry or other liquor. Fold cool custard into egg whites slowly. Put into pie. Top with whipped cream & shaved chocolate.
