CRUST:
4 eggs (separated) (use the 4 egg whites for crust)
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1 c. sugar

FILLING:
4 egg yolks
1/2 c. sugar
2 T. real lemon juice
1 - 8 oz. container whipped topping

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 275 degrees F. CRUST: Beat 4 egg whites until stiff. Combine cream of tartar with 1 cup sugar. Add cream of tartar and sugar mixture very gradually to the stiff egg whites. Place in glass pie pan and shape like a pie crust. Bake for 1 hour.
FILLING: Combine 4 egg yolks with 1/2 cup sugar and lemon juice. Cook over double broiler until thick. After it has cooked and has cooled, whipped cream may be added for more volume. Place filling into baked and cooled crust and top with whipped topping. Keep in cool place.
