1 lb brown sugar
1 lb butter
4 eggs
2 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp nutmeg
2 tsp cloves
1 tbsp vanilla
2 tsp baking soda
1 can evaporated milk
1 tbsp vinegar
2 lbs seedless raisins
4 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Boil raisins in 1 cup of water, cool, drain and set aside.
Open evaporated milk and add 1 tbsp vinegar to create sour milk.

Cream together brown sugar, butter and eggs.
Add spices; cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and vanilla.
Add 2 tsp of baking soda to sour evaporated milk.
Add evaporated milk and cooled raisins to mixture.

Sift together flour and baking powder.
Add to other ingredients and mix well.
Grease and flour 2 10" cake pans.
Bake at 325 for 30-40 minutes until cake springs back from sides.

Frost with cream cheese frosting.
