1/4 cup shortening
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
1 and 1/3 cups all purpose flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
In a mixing bowl, cream shortening and sugar. Add egg, sour cream and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture. Chill for at least one hour. Drop by Tablespoons 2" apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 425º for 7 to 8 minutes or until lightly browned. Move to wire rack to cool

Cookies can be frosted.
