3 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp soda
2 1/4 cups sugar
1/2 tsp salt
7 Tbsp cocoa
1 1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 1/2 cup hot water
1 1/2 tsp vanilla

Beat well. Bake in greased and floured pan at 350º for 35 minutes, or until passes the toothpick test

Coconut Pecan Frosting
Combine 1 cup evaporated milk, 1 cup sugar, 3 egg yolks, 1/4 lb butter and
1 tsp vanilla (I asked Mom about adding the vanilla after cooking and she said she just put it in before cooking)
Cook and stir over medium heat until it thickens (10 to 12 minutes)
Add 1 1/3 cups coconut and 1 cup chopped pecans
Let cool and frost the cake!
