2 lbs ground beef or chuck
1/8 t garlic powder
1/4 t onion powder
pinch salt
2 T tender quick or Quick Cure
1-1/2 t liquid smoke
1 c water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix well with hands. Divide into 3 parts. Make into rolls and wrap in clear wrap. Cure in refrigerator for 24 hours. Unwrap and bake at 300º for 75 mins. Uncover on a wire rack over a pan. Store in refrigerator.

The original recipe came from the Deshler Flag 8-25-1977. When Mom found this recipe she made several times and we enjoyed with cheese and crackers.
