BRINE:
8 Cups Apple Cider
2/3 Cup Kosher Salt
2/3 Cup Sugar
1 Tbsp. Black Peppercorns, Coarsely Crushed
1 Tbsp. Whole Allspice, Coarsely Crushed
8 (1/8 inch thick) Slices, Peeled, Fresh Ginger
6 Whole Cloves
2 Bay Leaves
1 Fresh or Frozen Turkey Breast, Thawed
2 Oranges, Quartered

CROCKPOT:
Butter
1 Can Chicken Broth
Salt
Pepper

OTHER:
Turkey-Sized Oven Bags

Directions:
Directions:
To prepare brine, combine first 8 ingredients in a large saucepan; bring to boil. Cook 5 minutes or until sugar and salt dissolve. Remove from heat and cool completely.

Place a turkey-sized oven bag in a large stockpot. Rinse turkey with cold water; pat dry. Trim off excess fat. Stuff body cavity with orange quarters. Place the turkey inside the oven bag in the stockpot. Add cider mixture. Secure bag with a twist tie. Refrigerate for 12 to 24 hours, turning occasionally.

After brining, remove turkey from oven bag, rinse and pat dry. Throw away the brine. Place the turkey in the crockpot. Rub with softened butter and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Pour chicken stock in the bottom of the crockpot. Cook on low for 8 hours.
