Ingredients:  
1 egg
Flour, plain
2 c sugar
1 c buttermilk
1 tsp soda
1 scant tsp baking powder
vanilla flavoring

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together the flour, soda and baking powder. Mix in the sugar. Add the buttermilk & vanilla. Mix well, it will be thick. Roll out thin & bake.

This was dictated to me by Grandma, Ola Gomillion Savell, when I was about 12 or 13 years old (over 50 years ago)!! I was sitting on the back step to her kitchen (my favorite spot to listen to her) & she was across the room by the stove (I guess that was her favorite spot!!).
