2-4 lbs. fresh chestnuts
6 stalks celery
1 large onion
1-2 large loaves day-old bread (cubed)
Sage seasoning
salt and pepper
Turkey broth

Directions:
Directions:
Cut chestnuts with an "x" on one side. Cook in boiling water for 30-45 minutes. Chestnuts should be tender. Peel and cut or crunch and set aside.

Dice celery and onion and saute in 1/4-1/2 cup broth until tender.

Place cubed bread in large bowl. Add chestnuts, celery and onions. Mix with broth until moist. Add salt, pepper, and sage to taste.

This is a Thanksgiving Tradition and smells really good cooking. Eat with turkey and cranberry sauce and turkey gravy.
