1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup margarine
1 egg
1/4 cup buttermilk
1 tsp. root beer extract
1 3/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Icing:
2 cups icing sugar
1/3 cup margarine
1 1/2 tsp. root beer extract
2 tbsp. water

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Mix together brown sugar, 1/2 cup margarine, egg, buttermilk and 1 tsp. root beer extract. Add flour, baking soda and salt and mix well. Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet about 2" apart. Bake for 6-8 minutes.
Icing: Mix icing sugar, 1/3 cup margarine, 1 1/2 tsp. root beer extract and hot water. Brush on top of hot cookies.
