1/2 cup Crisco -- dash of salt
1 1/3 cups sugar
3 eggs or 5 egg whites
1/2 cup milk
2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Blend Crisco, salt, and vanilla. Add sugar gradually and cream until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift baking powder and flour together. Add to creamed mixture, alternately with milk, mixing after each addition until smooth. Pour into greased/ floured pans. Bake at 400 for approx. 25 minutes.
