1 cup softened butter
1 cup sugar
2 cups flour
1/4 cup water
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add flour. Combine the water, soda and vanilla; pour over the first mixture. Stir until the sides of the bowl are clean. Form into a roll and refrigerate until firm. Slice thinly and place on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 for 10 - 15 minutes or until golden brown.
