1/4 C. shortening
2/3 C. sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
2 C. flour, sifted
1 t. baking powder
1 t. soda
1 t. salt
2 C. coarsely chopped apples
1/2 C. chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, beat until smooth. Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Add nuts and apples.

Spoon into greased and floured loaf pan. Bake at 325º for one hour or until done.
